On January 14-15, 2023, in the Sports Hall of the MDK "Dom Harcerza" in Krakow, at ul. Reymonta 18, the National Kyokushin Seminar was held as part of the New Years Kagami Biraki with the participation of 120 karatekas from Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Ukraine and Japan.
The special guest and the main teacher of the seminar was the World Champion in kumite and kata shihan Javier Lezcano 6.dan. It was his third visit to Poland as a coach.
The program of the seminar included three two-hour trainings focused on improving kihon, ido geiko, kata, as well as fighting techniques and tactics. The program also included a lecture by the PZK national team doctor, Krzysztof Mawlichanow, MD, PhD, 2nd dan, on resuscitation, i.e. first aid for saving health and life, followed by an hour-long conference of center managers with the participation of shihan J. Lezcano, devoted to current issues and information on the program of training and organizational activities as part of PZK and KWF, such as the 50th Polish Kyokushin Championships in Świnoujście, the 50th European Summer Camp in Krakow and the 4th World Kyokushin Championships in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
Shihan J.Lezcano was also a guest at the POK Headquarters and the Polska YMCA Club in Krakow.
The seminar was organized by POK under the leadership of shihan Andre Drewniak.
