KWF BOARD STATEMENT REGARDING THE DEATH OF SHIHAN LOEK HOLLANDER.

We express our deepest regrets by the loss of President Loek Hollander.

 

He was our founder and a great leader.

 

He made a huge contribution to the success of our democratic Kyokushin World Federation.

 


He remains a great example of highest Kyokushin spirit and devotion all over the world.

 


We were honored to work under his presidency.

 


His way in Kyokushin inspires us to work harder.

 


May his soul rest in peace.

NEW YEAR'S TRAINING UNDER THE 2-DAY SEMINAR WITH SHIHAN ALEKSANDER PICHKUNOV 11-12 JANUARY 2020 IN KRAKÓW (POLAND)

11-12 January 2020 in Krakow at the Sports Hall of the MDK Scout House ul. Reymana 18 was held with the participation of 118 Dojo Operators, instructors and players 2-day Seminar combined with New Year's training. The trainings were led by shihan Alexander Pichkunov 5 dan - medalist of the Kyokushin World Championship, he trained and fought in Tokyo in K-1 together with shihan Francisco Filho for 6 years. Also participated: shihan Andrzej Drewniak, shihan Andrzej Krawontka, shihan Robert Kopciowski, shihan Witold Stolarczyk, shihan Zdzislaw Niedzwiedz, shihan Janusz Piórkowski, shihan Bogdan Swiatkowski and shihan Robert Kern from Hungary.

The subject of the seminar were general development and specialized exercises shaping Kyokushin stamina, improving techniques with a partner and on equipment, as well as combinations for fighting. Shihan Pichkunov showed many specialized exercises used in professional boxing and K-1. As part of accompanying events, there was a 2 hour meeting of Dojo Operators and Sayonara. The seminar was organized by the Polish Kyokushinkai Organization (KWF POLAND) and MDK Scout House.

4. KWU KYOKUSHIN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS , KAZAKHSTAN, 7-8.12.2019

4. Kyokushin KWU World Championships in weight categories were held on December 7-8, 2019 at the Municipal Sports Hall in the city of Nur-Sultan, formerly Astana in Kazakhstan, with 247 competitors from about 45 countries fighting in 16 weight classes senior men and women. The spectacular opening of the championships took place with the use of the latest stage and computer designs and lighting effects, referring to the legends of the samurai katana sword and the taiko battle drum. The prelude ended the equally effective entry of teams with national flags.

The honorary members of the KWU committee were: shihan Yuri Trutnev, shihan Ivo Kamenov, shihan Antonio Pinero, shihan Hatsuo Royama, shihan David Pickthall, shihan Andre Drewniak, shihan Ramil Gabbasov, shihan Aleksandr Pichkunov and representatives of the Ministry of Sport and the main sponsor of Mineral Company Azeral All the mentioned persons presented prizes to the winners of individual categories.

As part of the World Championships there were several official and unofficial meetings of the KWU Board, judges training, meeting for all players, city tour and Sayonara party.

The KWF Management Board congratulates the success of the National Representatives and their KWF players who won medals: Armenia - 1st place in - 60 kg Artur Arushanyan, Iran - 2nd place in - 80 kg Mohammad Asadi Amin, 3rd place in - 70 kg Behzad Khezi, 3rd place in - 65 kg Mohammad Sadegh Ghanbari, The Netherlands - 2nd in + 75 kg Roxanne Ramselaar, Japan - 3rd in - 65 kg Atsuki Ono, 3rd in -80 kg Jo Miyahara.
The main referee of the championships was shihan Yuri Trutnev, secretary general Alexander Pichkunov and organizational director Sergey Suvorov - all from Moscow.

THE 4TH KWU KYOKUSHIN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, NUR-SULTAN, 7-8 DECEMBER 2019

The 4th KWU Kyokushin World Championship among men and women in weight categories was held on December 7-8, 2019 in Municipal Sport Hall  in the city of Nur-Sultan, formerly Astana in Kazakhstan with the participation of 350 competitors from about 100 countries fighting in 16 weight categories of senior men and women. The spectacular opening of the championship took place in most modern stage design and computer lighting effects, referring to the legends of the samurai katana sword and taiko battle drum ended with the spectacular entry of national teams with flags. In the grandstand sat the members of the KWU committee:  shihan Yuri Trutnev,  shihan Ivo Kamenov, shihan Antonio Pinero, shihan Hatsuo Royama, shihan David Pickthall, shihan Andre Drewniak, shihan Ramil Gabbasov, shihan Aleksandr Pichkunov and representatives of the Ministry of Sport and the main sponsor Mineral Company Azurite.  All mentioned also handed prizes to the winners of individual categories.  

As the part of the World Championship, several official and unofficial meetings of the KWU Board were held: trainings of referees, meeting of all competitors, visiting the city and Sayonara party.

CO-CHAIRMAN OF KWU YURI TRUTNEV WAS HONORED 6 DAN

On December 8, 2019, the annual Kyokushin World Union Board Meeting was held with the participation of shihan Yuri Trutnev, shihan Ivo Kamenov, shihan Antonio Pinero, shihan Hatsuo Royama, shihan David Pickthall, shihan Andre Drewniak, shihan Ramil Gabbasov and shihan Aleksandr Pichkunov. The meeting adopted the annual report of the Secretary General of KWU A. Pichkunov and discussed the most important topics related to World Karate and outlined an action plan for the coming years.

Shihan Yuri Trutniev was honored 6 dan for tremendous work for the development of Kyokushin in the world, a visionary approach to modern Kyokushin and organizational support for KWU around the world. On behalf of KWF, the certificate and belt were handed to him by the President of KWF Antonio Pinero.
