The 4th KWU Kyokushin World Championship among men and women in weight categories was held on December 7-8, 2019 in Municipal Sport Hall  in the city of Nur-Sultan, formerly Astana in Kazakhstan with the participation of 350 competitors from about 100 countries fighting in 16 weight categories of senior men and women. The spectacular opening of the championship took place in most modern stage design and computer lighting effects, referring to the legends of the samurai katana sword and taiko battle drum ended with the spectacular entry of national teams with flags. In the grandstand sat the members of the KWU committee:  shihan Yuri Trutnev,  shihan Ivo Kamenov, shihan Antonio Pinero, shihan Hatsuo Royama, shihan David Pickthall, shihan Andre Drewniak, shihan Ramil Gabbasov, shihan Aleksandr Pichkunov and representatives of the Ministry of Sport and the main sponsor Mineral Company Azurite.  All mentioned also handed prizes to the winners of individual categories.  

As the part of the World Championship, several official and unofficial meetings of the KWU Board were held: trainings of referees, meeting of all competitors, visiting the city and Sayonara party.

The Board of KWF congratulate the success to CR and their KWF players who won medals: Armenia – 1^st place in – 60 kg Artur Arushanyan, Iran – 2^nd place in - 80 kg Mohammad Asadi Amin, 3^rd place in – 70 kg Behzad Khezi, 3^rd place in – 65 kg Mohammad Sadegh Ghanbari, Netherlands – 2^nd place in + 75 kg Roxanne Ramselaar, Japan – 3^rd place in – 65 kg Atsuki Ono, 3^rd place in -80 kg Jo Miyahara.

The main referee was shihan Yuri Trutnev, secretary of championship shihan Alexander Pichkunov and the organizational director Sergey Suvorov – all from Moscow.

On December 8, 2019, the annual Kyokushin World Union Board Meeting was held with the participation of shihan Yuri Trutnev, shihan Ivo Kamenov, shihan Antonio Pinero, shihan Hatsuo Royama, shihan David Pickthall, shihan Andre Drewniak, shihan Ramil Gabbasov and shihan Aleksandr Pichkunov. The meeting adopted the annual report of the Secretary General of KWU A. Pichkunov and discussed the most important topics related to World Karate and outlined an action plan for the coming years.

Shihan Yuri Trutniev was honored 6 dan for tremendous work for the development of Kyokushin in the world, a visionary approach to modern Kyokushin and organizational support for KWU around the world. On behalf of KWF, the certificate and belt were handed to him by the President of KWF Antonio Pinero.

JUNIOR      SENIOR

On October 25-26, 2019, at the Metropolitan Sports Hall in Porto Vila do Conde in Portugal, the 33rd Kyokushin European Championships were held with the participation of over 350 competitors representing 26 countries, fighting in 46 weight categories kumite and kata.

The championships were opened by the President of EKF / KWF Antonio Pinero and a representative of the City Hall. The honorary guests were the members of the EKF / WKF Board: Vice President Hristo Traykov, Secretary General Andrzej Drewniak, Treasurer Lars Hoguist and Member Mauricio Alvarado. The main referee was shihan Antonio Pinero, the technical referee was shihan Fernando Perez, the computer service was performed by shihan Robert Wajgelt. The duties of a doctor were performed by Krzysztof Mawlichanów, MD. On the first day there were kumite categories 12-13 years old, 14-15 years old, 16-17 years old and all categories of kata. On the second day there were kumite categories in the categories of senior men and women and kumite senior masters.

As part of the accompanying events on October 25 in the morning there was an international course of judges with the participation of over 70 participants. In the evening the General Assembly of the EKF took place with the participation of 19 representatives of the countries. The chairman of the meeting was shihan A. Pinero and the secretary was shihan A. Drewniak. Four reports and an action program for the next year containing 34th European Championships Sieradz in May 2020 and World Championships Krakow in November 2020 were approved. The resolution that the national representative will report the participation of players to the European Championships was approved. From next year, players' applications will be on the digital platform, and national representatives will receive access codes. In addition, representatives of Belarus, France and Serbia were approved. On October 26, the Sayonara festival took place. The organizer of the championship was the Portuguese Federation of Kyokushin led by shihan Antonio Fernando Pereira who received 6 dan for his great effort arranging the succesful EC and work on the function of the person responsible for South America.

On Saturday the 28 of September there was the fifth Vestingtraining in Groenlo. The organizing Dojo is Mu Chin from sensei Dominic Monasso en sensei Mike te Braake. Almost 150 karateka’s from all over Holland and Germany joined this training. More than one hundred Adults and a lot of children enjoyed a variety of Ido Geiko, Kata and of course Kumite. The training locations are on the most historical and typical parts of the beautiful middle age city Groenlo. The highlight of the day is the training in a former church the Oude Calixtus. It gives you Goosebumps to train in the middle ages former church on the marketplace. 22/09/2019 in Ukraine (Mykolaiv) the international kyokushin tournament KWF Ukrainian Open Cup 2019 was held in the Kumite section among children, boys and girls, younger juniors and juniors. Organizer: KWF Ukraine (KFU - Kyokushin kai Federation of Ukraine). KWF Country Representative in Ukraine sensei Dmytro Nikolaiev, 4 dan. In the competition for the right to be the first, 360 athletes from Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine fought. Dmytro Nikolaiev solemnly handed over the black belts that were awarded according to the results of the exam at the All-Ukrainian Summer School Kyokushin 2019 and the Certification Commission of the International Sports Federation - World Kyokushin Federation (KWF) was awarded the master degree II Dan Oleg Pavlenko, Valery Vasin and the master degree I Dan Vadim Bobenko. Организатор: KWF Ukraine (KFU - Kyokushin kai Federation of Ukraine). Национальному представитель KWF в Украине Дмитрий Николаев, 4 дан На соревнованиях за право быть первым боролись 360 спортсмена из Армении, Молдовы и Украины. Команда Украины была представлена ​​Киевской, Днепропетровской, Николаевской, Херсонской, Черкасской, Черниговской, Одесской, Днепропетровской, Львовской, Запорожской областями и городом Киевом.
