The 56th NKKO summer camp Kyokushin Karate at the beautiful Papendal was a great success!
This year we welcomed no less than 100 enthusiastic participants who were ready to push their boundaries, learn new techniques and take part in an unforgettable experience full of discipline, strength and camaraderie.
Highlights of the camp:
🔹 Intensive training sessions: Under the guidance of international top instructors such as Shihan Pinero, Fernando Perez, Jose Ruiz Lescano, Javier Lescano, Jerome de Timmerman and Sensei Edu Giner, the participants learned a lot and further developed themselves.
🔹 Workshops and seminars: There were special workshops focused on kihon, kata and kumite, where everyone could improve their skills.
🔹 Competitions and sparring sessions: These provided exciting moments and gave the karatekas the opportunity to put their techniques into practice. 🔹 Evening programs: With relaxation and team building, strong bonds were forged among the participants.
On Saturday, the national youth day was organized, in which 80 children from all over the Netherlands participated. These young karatekas were given the opportunity to show and improve their skills under the guidance of the old and new world champions Shihan Javier Lescano, Senpai Valence Bickel and Senpai Tijn Lorist. The afternoon program had a fun six-camp feel as usual.
During the camp, exams were taken, in which we welcomed four new first dan and three new fourth dan. Congratulations to all the successful ones!
Thanks to all participants, instructors and organizers for their dedication and enthusiasm. This camp was a true celebration of the spirit of Kyokushin Karate. We are already looking forward to the next summer camp in 2025 from July 11 to 14!!
