MAS OYAMA MEMORIAL CUP TOKYO 2012

   On September 16, the International Kyokushin Karate Tournament "Mas Oyama Memorial Cup 2012" organised by IKO Kyokushinkaikan, took place in Tokyo. More than 350 competitors from Japan, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Haiti, Rumania, Korea, USA, Ukraine, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and China took part in this event. The official opening was done by Shihan Susumu Miyake. Chairmens of the organizing committee were Kuristina Oyama and Yoshikazu Suzuki. Sensei Nicholas Pettas was one of the special guests. Letters of congratulations from Shihan Katsuaki Sato and Shihan Takashi Azuma - one of first Champions of Japan in Karate Kyokushin were placed in the bulletin for competitors.
   In men open category Michal Werner from Poland became the winner, for the second consecutive year. In the final fight Werner met with Yugo Toma from Japan and after the unanimous verdict of judges Pole won.

   After the Memorial Cup, the Sayonara party took place in the famous IKO Honbu buliding in Ikebukuro with participation of all IKO Kyokushinkaikan leaders and invited guests who represented other international Kyokushin organizations. The custodian of master Masutatsu Oyama, his daughter Kuristina Oyama reminded about the ideals which Sosai used to teach and indicated the need for the rebirth of Kyokushin on the spiritual and philosophical level.
  The will of the co-operation with different Kyokushin leaders around the world was showed again during this successful event. Shihans and Sensei expressed their will of help in realization of this ambitious plan.
   Just like in the previous years, on the next day after the tournament, competitors and leaders visited the Mitsumine Mountain, gathered under the monument of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama and paid respect to him. The visit to Mitsumine Mt. ended with training under the waterfall.

GENERAL SECRETARY MEETING WITH KWF REPRESENTATIVE IN JAPAN

   On September 14, Shihan Andre Drewniak (KWF General Secretary) and Shihan Noriyuki Tanaka (KWF Representative in Japan) had an official meeting concerning the upcoming 1st KWF World Cup in Japan. Meeting took place in Tokyo Metropolitan Hotel, Ikebukuro.
  Discussion consisted of the following topics: preparations for the next year's events including the 27th European Kyokushin Karate Championships in Poland, the 1st KWF World Championships in Paris, European Summer Camps in Holland, Spain and Poland, and Japanese Summer Camp in Kiyosumi Mt.
  Both Shihan Drewniak and Shihan Tanaka agreed that co-operation between Europe and Japan based on strong friendship relations and mutual respect should be the base for the further developement of Kyokushin World Federation.


KWF JAPAN SUMMER CAMP KIYOSUMIYAMA 2012

On July 28th - 29th KWF Japan Summer Camp Kiyosumiyama 2012 was held with 100 participants at Nippon Budokan Training Center which is located close to Kiyosumiyama in Chiba, Japan.  The story about the training of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama at Kiyosumiyama is well known. 

The main activities including the night training are the following: Basic Training (Kihon-Keiko), Movements in different stances (Ido-Keiko), Kata, Kumite including the fighting techniques, Circuit training including the 1000 squats

We hope that next year we also have friends from abroad coming and joining this annual event in Japan.

Organiser of the camp was Shihan Noriyuki Tanaka - KWF Representative in Japan. 

 


INTERNATIONAL SUMMER CAMP BENASQUE - SPAIN 2012

   International Kyokushin Karate Summer Camp organised every year by Spanish Kyokushin Karate Organisation, took place in Benasque on July 26-29.
   Leading instructors were Shihan Antonio PiñeroShihan José Luis Lezcano and Shihan Javier Lezcano
   Participants from Spain and other European countries took part in the event and the grading exam.
   Next year camp is planned in the end of July 2013. 


39TH EAST EUROPEAN SUMMER CAMP KRAKOW 2012

On 19-22 July 2012 on objects of the Academy of Physical Education in Krakow The 39th East European Summer Camp was held with the participation near 150 participants from Czech Republic, Moldavia, Germany, Poland, Russia, Spain and Ukraine. Leading instructors were President EKF shihan Antonio Pinero and World Kata Champion and also European Kumite Champion shihan Jose Lezcano. The camp was oriented on completing the education of managers of centers and instructors. Trainings took place 4 times daily according to the plan prepared by shihan Andre Drewniak accompanied by shihan Andrew Krawontka.

On 19 July a meeting of the President A.Pinero with participants from 6 countries took place. They discussed the perspectives of the development and the collaboration within the framework of the European Federation Kyokushin, the World Federation Kyokushin and the World Union Kyokushin with the seat in Moscow.

On 20 July a meeting of managers of centers with the President A.Pinero was organised. They discussed current situation in EKF, KWF and KWU. Then, the current activities and perspectives for the development and the collaboration were presented. The invitations to participate in three large international tournaments in Japan were handed. During 3 hours meeting shihan Pinero answered many questions.

The Polish Kyokushinkai Organization was the organizer of the 39th East European Summer Camp.  

We invite to the participation in the 40th Jubilee Camp on 18-21 July 2013 in which, among others, we expect participation of shihan Tanaka from Tokyo.
