NORWEGIAN WINTER KYOKUSHIN KARATE CAMP OSLO 2012

The weekend of January 27-29 the Norwegian Kyokushin Karate Organization arranged the yearly General Meeting and also a training camp for all club leaders in Norway. Organiser of the camp was Shihan Lars Hogquist.

The camp was arranged outside Oslo and with great success. The General Meeting was held in a very positive manner.
   The first training started on Friday. As usual at this yearly training camp Shihan Antonio Pinero from Spain conducted the training. The camp covered all the KWF syllabus. All the techniques where composed into small to long combinations. 
  The feedback from the participants was very positive. 

Shihan Antonio did a fantastic job and everybody was amazed about the variety in his calm and friendly teaching. The camp collected 51 karateka from all over the country.

We will meet again next year at the same time and enjoy another karate seminar with Shihan Antonio.


KYOKUSHIN KWF SEMINAR SAINT PETERSBURG 2012

Within the Kyokushin Development Programme for Eastern Europe, on 4-6 January 2012 Kyokushin KWF held a seminar run by shihan Andrzej Drewniak and sensei Robert Wajgelt, with participation of approx. 70 instructors, contestants and schoolchildren. Contestants from Ukraine and Georgia also participated in the seminar. The core subject of the seminar was standardisation of the techniques and kata, and fight combinations and self-defence techniques were presented. Additionally, a meeting with the instructors was held, during which the international development perspectives of Kyokushin KWF were discussed, with a focus on Russia, Estonia and Finland. Local partners accepted an invitation to participate in the Central-European Summer Camp in Krakow and  international tournaments in Świnoujście and Sieradz.

The seminar was organised by the Saint Petersburg Kyokushin Federation run by sensei Alexander Nesterov 3 dan.

TRAINING AND MEETING KYOKUSHIN KALININGRAD 2012

On 3 January 2012, shihan Andrzej Drewniak and sensei Robert Wajgelt conducted a training in Kaliningrad (Russia). The training was held in the Martial Arts Hall of the newly built Kaliningrad Sports Centre which can seat 4000 audience.  Also, an organisational meeting with instructors from the local centres as well as Moldova and Uzbekistan was held, during which the partners discussed ways to enhance the cooperation with the Kyokushin KWF. Also, they determined training schedules and participation in joint tournaments in Russia and Europe. Local partners accepted an invitation to participate in the Central-European Summer Camp in Krakow and  international tournaments in Świnoujście and Sieradz.

The seminar was organised by the Kaliningrad Kyokushin Federation run by sensei Sergei Soldatov 4 dan.

12TH POLISH OPEN KYOKUSHIN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS LEGNICA 2011

   On December 3 in the Sports Hall of Hotel Qubus in Legnica The 12th Polish Open Kyokushin Karate Championships took place. Organizer of the championships was Legnica Kyokushin Karate Club led by Sensei Andrzej Kaczkowski. The competition was attended by 64 participants from 22 Kyokushin clubs. Judge of the main event was Shihan Andre Drewniak.

KYOKUSHIN WORLD UNION - THE FOUNDING CONFERENCE

   October 12, 2011, in Moscow, at the Reception House of Government of the Russian Federation, the founding Conference of the  was held.

 The event was attended by Chairman of the Presidential Council of the Russian Kyokushin Association Yuri Trutnev, the president of Kyokushin- kan International (KI) Hatsuo Royama, vice president of Kyokushinkai-kan International Hiroshige Tsuyoshi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Kyokushin Foundation Sugekava Kenji, president of the International Federation of Karate Steve Arneil, representative of the UK International Federation of Karate David Pickthall, president of Kyokushin World Federation (KWF) Loek Hollander, President of the Bulgarian Federation of Kyokushin karate-do, Ivo Kamenov, as well as representatives of the federations-members of the Russian Kyokushin Association - President of Federation of Kyokushinkai Karate-do of Russia Nikolai Nikolaevich Malikov, President of the Russian National Federation Oyama Kyokushin Karate- do Alexander Arkadievich Ipatov, president of the Federation of Kyokushin- kan karate-do of Russia Mikhail Viktorovich Slipenchuk, president of the Federation of Kyokushinkai of Russia Alexander Ivanovich Tanyushkin. As previously stated, the Declaration on the establishment of the Kyokushin World Union was adopted at the International Conference "Kyokushin in the Modern World" (March 28, 2011., Moscow). World Union sets itself the ambitious goal - to join the ranks of an international sports association “SportAccord” as an independent sport, and thus, become an active participant in the international Olympic movement.


Kyokushin World Union-KWU
Already today it is clear that this historic step consolidates the main directions of karate Kyokushin, developing in the world today. The Union brings independent international organizations into one international sports federation on principles of equality.

It is expected that already this year the Kyokushin World Union will be registered in the Olympic capital of the world - Lausanne (Switzerland). Conference founding minutes of the Kyokushin World Union - KWU under which the Union begins to operate were signed.
