On May 21-22, 2011 the International Kyokushin Children and Junior Tournament took place in Goderville, France.
Leaded by Shihan Bertrand Kron (member of KWF Board) and Sempai Marc Rose (President of the French Kyokushin Organisation), this third Kyokushin European Cup was an incredible success this year.
With French All Styles Federation and Sport Ministry agreement, the city of Goderville in Normandy welcomed 250 fighters from France, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Indian Ocean, Tajikistan, Russia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belgium, Morocco and Tunisia. As all the KWF events, the championship was 'open' and we had the pleasure to welcome fighters from Tezuka, ShinKyokushin, IFK or IKO delegations. Shihan Hristo Traikov (Vice President of KWF), Shihan Aloys te Braake, Shihan Zanibekh Juldassov, Shihan Eric Constancia and high ranks from various countries enjoyed the event.
The sport hall was absolutely full and organisation had to refuse some people for safety reasons.
The Championship welcomed the Vice-president of the French All styles Federation league, Sempai Philippe Dignoire, and President of the Kyokushin committee in this Federation, Sensei Jacky Lajoinie, both former Kyokushin students of Shihan Bertrand Kron during 20 years.
Fights were strong as Kyokushin use to show, but with the French full contact Kyokushin rules with protection there were no injuries, no cry! Boys and girls, children from 6 years old until 18, coaches, leaders and supporters were really happy of this day of peace, pleasure, sweat and. Kyokushin way as Sosai learned us.
During the event, Shihan Hristo Traikov from Bulgaria presented 5 demo fights with the 'profitKyokushin' rules, presenting the new professional Kyokushin league.
