Subject: Explanation and invitation to the democratic and non profit Kyokushin World Organization
|
Dear Ladies and Gentleman, Osu
Many Kyokushin karateka’s have been waiting for an honest Organization with sincerity, friendship and trust, to build a future for our next generation. This is the way Sosai Masutatsu Oyama taught us and we would like to offer you this dream as a reality.
In 1968 Sosai Masutatsu Oyama asked Shihan Loek Hollander to establish the European Kyokushin Karate Organization, then the EKKO came to reality, and following his wish, a democratic Organization has been formed, according to the European sports law.
During many years, until Sosai passed away, we all worked together in harmony and whenever problems arise, Sosai always discussed and asked for advice to come to a final conclusion for the main interest of all IKO members, in a positive way.
After Sosai passed away, Mr. Matsui was presented to take over the leadership of the organization. At that time nobody objected it. However not too long after, another group of Japanese instructors decided to change him as a leader of IKO. They didn’t believe he was the real successor of Sosai Oyama. Shihan Loek Hollander and Antonio Pinero, among other foreigners, fought for him so he could keep his position, until a promised worldwide democratic election should take part. The other Japanese group didn’t accept it and formed another new organization. The democratic election never took place !
For quite a long period of time, things were good, both ways, for IKO and for EKKO, not to many problems, pretty good relationships etc. But.. for about the last four years, things started to deteriorate as a lot of problems arose. Problems of paying for the certificates to Japan or to New York. Different people were interfering, IKO Honbu staff, New York staff etc. In some cases new Branch Chiefs were “made” without consultation with the EKKO Board. When the Board suggested new Branch Chiefs or higher degrees it has been ignored. Still we haven’t received a lot of certificates and belts we had paid for !
During the last EKKO General Meeting, IKO Honbu people came to announce unilaterally the cancellation of the European Organization, once more, without previous discussion or consultation with the EKKO Board members.
We all know Sosai Mas Oyama and his family. We also know that, after Sosai’s death there has been a lot of fighting concerning Sosai’s will. At that time we thought that Mr. Matsui should be the successor of the Organization, so we helped him to become the new leader. Now, we do know that there has not been an official will, so Mr. Matsui is not really the successor of Sosai ! It took us a long time to understand this situation.
That is why Shihan Loek Hollander and Shihan Antonio Pinero decided on August 13, 2010 to resign from this not official Kyokushin Organization. Shihan Andre Drewniak was removed few days before in an absolutely outrageous way. That, as well as the lie about Shihan Hollander and Shihan Pinero also being removed, has been taken with disgust in our budo world.
Don’t let anybody fool you with lies and false promises, higher grades, better positions etc.
