Osu,
I am writing you this short letter in the name of the Croatian Kyokushin Karate
Organization - CKKO - and concerning the latest conflict between EKKO and IKO.
CKKO was founded in 2007. Since then we have been working on our full membership in
EKKO and IKO which we considered as our only way in kyokushin.
Our former President Shihan Vlado Haljer, who recently left EKKO and IKO, constantly
tried about this subject. CKKO payed all the wanted amounts. Our members have
participated few international tournements, European championships and camps.
Inspite Shihan Haljer left CKKO, EKKO and IKO, our members decided to stay in EKKO
and IKO.
Even though we are new organization, the leaders of our organization are not new in
kyokushin. The separation that is happening now on the level EKKO - IKO is of course
part of the process that have started after Mas Oyama died. The same process hit
kyokushin in Croatia more than ten years ago. The main part of this process was the
criticism over the IKO Kyokushinkaikan and Kancho Matsui. It was the foundation and
the strength of this process..
Nevertheless, the idea of pure kyokushin was present in CKKO. This idea was strongly
related to EKKO and IKO.
When the idea of new IKO Europe was set out there were no explicit reasons that our
Organization was inform about. Are there some other foundations for the current
conflict between EKKO and IKO, we in Croatia do not know.
The fact is that new IKO Europe should replace EKKO.
Concerning all above written, the main question for us is - WHY is Honbu trying to
destroy almost 50 years old, well organized EKKO??? It is impossible that Honbu did
not assume that this will cause chaos and new wave of separation.
CHAOS AND SEPARATION that is hapenning at the moment is contradictory to what is
claimed to be THE MAIN GOAL OF KYOKUSHIN, and which goal is stated at the beginning
of the IKO Kyokushinkaikan Official Bylaws 2009. - Our gratest pursuit is to reach
for the goal of INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP AND WORLD PEACE.
Concret, we in Croatia find this contradiction as essential element in the current
conflict which we are part of. This contradiction is for us obvious proof of
dissonance between words and acts of IKO Kyokushinkaikan!!!
Finaly, this is the foundation for our decision NOT TO SUPPORT NEW IKO EUROPE and in
this way we are ending all cooperation whith IKO Kyokushinkaikan led by Kancho
Matsui!

Vice-chairman of the Croatian Kyokushin Karate Organization
