EWA PAWLIKOWSKA'S ONE MATCH FIGHT

On 18 November, in Tokyo, three-times World Champion Ewa Pawlikowska fought against current Japan Champion, Miyoko Kimura, according to the Kyokushin One Match Fight rules during the "Tenku" event. The fight finished with judges decision: draw (two referees' decision was draw and one pointed Pawlikowska to be the winner). Shihan Andre Drewniak and senpai Andrzej Zacharski took pictures and filmed the whole event.

During the visit in Tokyo “World Karate” magazine journalists interviewed Ewa Pawlikowska and took pictures of her in an old temple. Shihan Andre Drewniak participated in meetings with one of the IKO Board members.

On 19 November shihan Andre Drewniak and sensei Ewa Pawlikowska went to see the K-1 World Grand Prix in Tokyo Dome, where Kyokushin fighters Glaube Feitosa and Alexander Pitchkunov fought in.

Polish guests were really impressed by the new 9-floor headquarters of the International Karate Organisation which is situated in a very modern part of Tokyo, Ebisu. Senpai Zacharski showed them round.

5TH EUROPEAN OPEN CATEGORY CHAMPIONSHIPS BELGRADE 2005

     On November 26 in Belgrade (Serbia and Montenegro) 5th European Open Category Championships took place with participation of 124 competitors from 16 countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech R., France, Germany, Greece, Izrael, Holland, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Spain and Ukraine. Main judge was shihan Antonio Pinero.

Organiser of the championships was Serbian Kyokushin Karate Organization led by sensei Zarko Petkovic.

GLAUBE FEITOSA K-1 WORLD GRAND PRIX 2005 VICE-CHAMPION

K-1 World GP 2005 ...

On November 19 in Tokyo Dome gathered over 58 000 people to watch the K-1 World Grand Prix Final. The culmination of events held round the world (Seoul, Las Vegas, Paris, Hiroshima, Hawaii and Osaka) over the last year, was a battle between the 8 strongest fighters representing karate, kick-boxing, thai-boxing, boxing and other martial arts.

This year's Las Vegas Champion Glaube Feitosa representing IKO Kyokushinkaikan became the Grand Prix Vice-Champion after defeating the Hawaii Champion Garry Goodridge and Japanese top fighter Musashi. At the same time he repeated the success of Francisco Filho, who became the Grand Prix Vice-Champion four years ago.

OPENING OF ICHIGEKI PLAZA TOKYO 2005

On 1 October Kancho Shokei Matsui lead the Press Conference preceding the Opening of Ichigeki Plaza in Ebisu, Tokyo.

Following Shihan Francisco Filho, Sensei Ryu Narushima and Senpai Kentaro Tanaka lead the training at new Ebisu Dojo.
