56TH INTERNATIONAL SUMMER CAMP – PAPENDAL 2024

The 56th NKKO summer camp Kyokushin Karate at the beautiful Papendal was a great success!
This year we welcomed no less than 100 enthusiastic participants who were ready to push their boundaries, learn new techniques and take part in an unforgettable experience full of discipline, strength and camaraderie.
Highlights of the camp:
🔹 Intensive training sessions: Under the guidance of international top instructors such as Shihan Pinero, Fernando Perez, Jose Ruiz Lescano, Javier Lescano, Jerome de Timmerman and Sensei Edu Giner, the participants learned a lot and further developed themselves.
🔹 Workshops and seminars: There were special workshops focused on kihon, kata and kumite, where everyone could improve their skills.
🔹 Competitions and sparring sessions: These provided exciting moments and gave the karatekas the opportunity to put their techniques into practice. 🔹 Evening programs: With relaxation and team building, strong bonds were forged among the participants.
On Saturday, the national youth day was organized, in which 80 children from all over the Netherlands participated. These young karatekas were given the opportunity to show and improve their skills under the guidance of the old and new world champions Shihan Javier Lescano, Senpai Valence Bickel and Senpai Tijn Lorist. The afternoon program had a fun six-camp feel as usual.
During the camp, exams were taken, in which we welcomed four new first dan and three new fourth dan. Congratulations to all the successful ones!
Thanks to all participants, instructors and organizers for their dedication and enthusiasm. This camp was a true celebration of the spirit of Kyokushin Karate. We are already looking forward to the next summer camp in 2025 from July 11 to 14!!

NKKO: FULL IN CONTACT – STRONG IN LIFE


51ST POLISH KYOKUSHIN SENIOR AND JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

On June 1, 2024, the 51st Polish Kyokushin Championships for seniors and juniors took place at the “Solne Miasto” Sports Hall in Wieliczka, with the participation of 214 players representing 63 sports clubs.
The ceremonial opening was performed by: the Mayor of Wieliczka, the President of the Polish Karate Association, Maciej Sokołowski, and the Vice-President, Andrzej Drewniak.
The main referee was Shihan Andrzej Drewniak and the technical referee was Shihan Edward Urbańczyk.
The competition was judged by 54 judges on three mats.
In the senior team scoring, the club won: Polska YMCA Kraków, and in the junior team scoring: Wrocławski Klub Kyokushin Karate.
The ceremonial Sayonara took place at the “Grand Sal” Hotel on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Wieliczka Kyokushin Karate Club.
The championship was organized by the Wieliczka Kyokushin Karate Club led by sensei Krzysztof Kopciowski.

KWF FRANCE SPRING CAMP 2024

From May 18 to 20, 2024, the KWF FRANCE Spring Camp took place in the magnificent Dojo in the city of Wasquehal. Around fifty participants took pleasure in sharing the different workshops led by this years 2 guests: Shihan Tommaso Schirinzi and the 2023 KWF french World Champion Thierry Nebleza and the French staff (Sensei Christophe LAIGLE, Matthieu MORELLE, Charley QUINOL ) directed by Shihan Jérôme de Timmerman. THE XI SPANISH WINTERCAMP

The XI Spanish Wintercamp was held in Villanua, Huesca-Spain from 1 to 3 of March of 2024.
120 students participated in the camp, in which there were different classes focused on improving the abilities in kihon, kata and kumite
Even, one special training was done on the snow and the participants enjoyed a lot.
The Kangeiko was directed by shihan Fernando Perez, 7. Dan KWF and the instructors were too shihan Jose Antonio Garcia, shihan José María Dorado, sensei Manolo Moreno y sensei Edu Giner.
The next editions will be held from 7 to 9 of March of 2025.

KAGAMI BIRAKI 2024, POLAND

On January 12-14, 2024, a Kyokushin Seminar was held as part of the New Years Kagami Biraki, combined with the KWF International Judges Course. The special guest and leader of the seminar was the Chairman of the KWF Referee Committee, Shihan Fernando Perez 7 dan from Spain.
The seminar was conducted with the aim of improving kihon/kata/kumite/self-defense and the International Refereeing Course, and was addressed to all black belt holders, coaches and players.
The first training and refereeing practice took place on Friday in the Polska YMCA Kraków Hall, ul. Krowoderska 8, other training sessions took place in the Sports Hall of MDK "Dom Harcerza" in Krakow, ul. Reymonta 18.
The seminar program included four two-hour training sessions and three lectures combined with practice aimed at improving technical and refereeing skills. Additionally, there was a short outdoor training (in the snow) combined with a photo session and Sayonara for the managers of the centers and invited guests. The organizer of the above-mentioned The event was organized by the Polish Kyokushinkai Organization under the leadership of shihan Andrzej Drewniak.
