OPEN KYOKUSHIN PORTUGAL 2019 |

Success will be the most appropriate word to qualify what happened on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in the wonderful and welcoming city of Trofa the "OPEN KYOKUSHIN PORTUGAL 2019". The AKP (Portugal Kyokushin Organization) and KWF (Kyokushin World Federation) in the person of its legitimate representative in Portugal Shihan Antonio Pereira and AKA (Kyokushin Association Ave), with the collaboration of the Trofa city put Portugal back on the world kyokushin map. The presence of the president of the world federation (KWF) shihan Antonio Pinero came to value, give another magnitude to the Open Kyokushin Portugal 2019. This championship was the biggest kyokushin karate event held in Portugal in the last 20 years. The Last had been, as everyone should remember the 14th European Kyokushin Championships in Vila do Conde. The 70 athletes present came from various European countries and Kyokushin karate organizations: Kyokushin kan, Shinkyokushin, International Federation of Karate, and KWF. Germany, Switzerland and Estonia, Spain had athletes from several cities. Vitória, Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona and their representatives (Alexa sensei Demanov, Alexey sensei Korikov, shihan Klaus Mink and shihan José Luis Lezcano) From Portugal: Lisbon, Porto, Vila do Conde, Povoa de Varzim, Trofa, Amarante, Viana do Castelo and their respective Sensei Luis Pinto, Humberto Évora, José Luis Silva, Jorge Ferreira, Ricardo Viana. The presence of all added the prestige, referees and athletes provided combat of the highest quality. KWF SEMINAR PETERSBURG, RUSSIA 2019 |

May 24-26, 2019 Secretary General KWF Andre Drewniak and Coach KN shihan Robert Wajgelt stayed in Saint Petersburg where they conducted two workouts a day as part of the kumite and kata seminar with around 80 instructors, junior athletes and juniors. The aim of the seminar was the standardization of techniques and kata, and combinations to fight in the rules of the KWF. The general organizer of the seminar was the Russian Kyokushin Federation led by Shihan Sergey Soldatov and the direct organizer was the Representative of the Leningrad Department of KWF sensei Irakli Barateli. As part of the seminar, a meeting was held with the coaches and players who came. The seminar ended with a solemn Sayonara in an organizational hotel. The next Seminar for Representatives of the KWF branches is planned in Kaliningrad.

FIRST INDIAN OCEAN CHAMPIONSHIP KWF 2019 |

On Sunday, May 12, 2019, the FIRST INDIAN OCEAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2019 took place on Reunion Island. KWF FRANCE (REUNION) by Shihan Pierre Grondin welcomed our president Shihan Antonio Pinero for the second time in two years. First arbitration internship, first KWF grade and a technical internship were on the agenda during the week. The competition was a huge success with everyone. It was the most prestigious Kyokushin competition held on Reunion Island. Shihan Pierre Grondin and the whole of KWF FRANCE thank all the organisations present during this competition. The second edition will be held in Mauritius in 2020.

KWU EUROPEAN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS BERLIN 2019 |

May 18-19, 2019, as part of the Kyokushin Time to be United unification program, the KWU European Junior Championship took place in Berlin with over 350 competitors from nearly 30 countries representing IFK, KWF, Kan, Shin and other organizations. The opening ceremony was made by the Secretary General of the KWU Alexandr Pichkunov, the Secretary General of the KWF Andre Drewniak and the Vice President of IFK David Pickthall, who also presented awards to medalists of around 30 weight categories.
The most numerous countries were represented: Russia, around 100 competitors, Bulgaria 60, Poland 50, Ukraine 30, Germany 30, UK 20. Three tatami were judged by about 60 judges from 20 countries. The organizer of the event was the German Kyokushin Kan Organization, whose leader is sensei Aleksei Demanov.

IX INTERNATIONAL SALT CUP TOURNAMENT (KWF POLAND) |

On Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm in the Municipal Sports and Entertainment Hall "Salt City" in Wieliczka, the 9th International Tournament for the Kyokushinkai Karate Salt Cup took place. The organizer of the competition was the Karate Kyokushinkai Karate Club in Wieliczka (Wielicki Klub Karate Kyokushinkai) (KWF) under the leadership of the chairman Krzysztof R. Kopciowski (2nd dan). The tournament took place with the support of the City and Commune of Wieliczka and the Wieliczka Poviat. The main judge of the tournament was shihan Janusz Piórkowski (5th dan), technical judge sensei Sławomir Rudawski (4th dan) and chairman of the organizing committee was shihan Robert Kopciowski (5th dan) President of Małopolska District Karate Federation. This year's tournament in Wieliczka both due to the level of sports competition and the number of competitors in each category was very demanding. In this event, on 3 mats, 350 competitors from 43 clubs from 4 countries (Romania, Poland, Germany and Czech Republic) and 7 kyokushin organizations participated with 39 judges. The competition honored many special guests including General Secretary of the Kyokushin World Federation (KWF) shihan Andre Drewniak 9.DAN, Romanian Country Representative sensei Ilie Ionescu4.DAN, German Country Representative sensei Janusz Konieczko4.DAN, Czech Country Representative sensei Peter Drożdżak 4.DAN , Vice-chairman of the City Council in Wieliczka Bogdan Lizak, Chairwoman of the Krzyszkowice housing estate and member of the city council Elżbieta Sikora and inspector in the sport department of the Wieliczka district Joanna Boduch. Guests and judges were given thanks and hand-made ceramic cups. During the decoration of the winners, 150 diplomas, 48 cups of 147 medals prepared by the artistic studio ArcyDzielnia from Wieliczka were awarded. Great coffee was provided by Caffè Cagliari Polska and Magenta catering helped to supplement calories.
In the team classification the first place was taken by the team from Nowa Sól, the second team from Wieliczka and the third place was placed by Dąbrowa Górnicza. Thank you to all who contributed to the fact that the IX tournament for the Salt Cup took place and ended with a great success. We invite you for the year of osu!
