On October 26-29, Shihan Loek Hollander has been visiting Tokyo, where he had three meetings with Kuristina Oyama and Yoshikazu Suzuki. They talked about the concept of the Kyokushin World Federation. Both sides agreed that the idea is good for the future of Kyokushin unity in the world.
"Sosai Oyama used to treat all of us, the very first Branch Chiefs of Kyokushinkaikan, like his own sons. He invited us many times for dinners, took us to the movies, met with his closest friends and so on. He was always a very warm and affectionate person. That is what kept the Kyokushin Organization together like a family… back then. I felt it was very important to keep this warm relationships being continued.
Meeting with Kuristina, Sosai’s daughter, was deeply sympathetic and I enjoyed the atmosphere that she and Suzuki-san, her partner, created while I visited Tokyo." - said Shihan Hollander after coming back to Europe.
