6TH EUROPEAN OPEN CATEGORY CHAMPIONSHIPS MESSINA 2006

On November 25 in Messina (Italy) The 6th European Open Category Championships took place with participation of 110 competitors from 18 countries. Main judge was shihan Antonio Pinero.

Organiser of the championships was Italian Kyokushin Karate Organization led by shihan Tsutomu Wakiuchi.

 


38TH ALL JAPAN OPEN KARATE TOURNAMENT TOKYO 2006

     Three European fighters qualified to the finals of The 38th All Japan Open Karate Tournament, which took place in Tokyo Taiikukan on the weekend of November 18-19, 2006. 
     Artur Hovhanissian from Armenia took remarkable 2nd place, Krzysztof Habraszka from Poland was 4th, and Alejandro Navarro from Spain finished in the top 16.
     IKO International Committee Member Shihan Loek Hollander and EKKO General Secretary Shihan Andre Drewniak were the guests of the tournament.



9TH INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS OF SLOVAKIA
2006-11-22
    On 4th of November 2006 in the Sports Hall in Muzla (near Sturovo) The International Championships of Slovakia took place. The competitors came from Croatia, Hungary, Austria and Slovakia. The championships started with kata division and were followed by kumite competition.


POLISH NATIONAL TEAM TRAINING CAMP ZAKOPANE 2006

     On November 4-11, Polish National Team Training Camp took place in Zakopane with participation of 20 fighters and 5 coaches, to prepare for the Open European Championships in Italy.
     Trainings were organised by shihan Andre Drewniak and sensei: Wlodzimierz Roj, Krzysztof Borowiec, Roman Keska and Eugeniusz Dadzibug.

During the camp Dutch super heavyweight champion senpai Rudolf Conquet were the sparringpartner for the Polish Team. 

   


SUMMER CAMPS IN ROMANIA AND BULGARIA
2006-10-08

On 21-27 August a summer camp in Mangalia (Romania) took place. There ware 120 competitors (emong them World Champion Raluca Jianu). The camp was led by shihan Andre Drewniak and sensei Dorel Bulearca. At the end of the camp Romanian Junior Championships took place with participation of 80 competitors. During the camp Romanian Kyokushin Organisation congres took place, where sensei Dorel Bulearca was choosen again for a leader of Romanian Kyokushin Organisation.

On 7-16 August a summer camp in Varna (Bulgaria) took place. During the camp sensei Hristo Traikov was choosen again for a leader of Bulgarian Kyokushin Organisation.
